Xadria brushed off his comments with hardly a second thought, washing them off her back, only allowing her emotion to show in a flash of her eyes; reflecting in her jealousy and anger for only a split second.
"Course not, Adam. I'm a rock. Can't you tell?"

Mayriah examined her scene carefully. Adam was looking confused no longer, but strong and prepared for battle. May grabbed his arm. "Its not worth it." She muttered. "We need to meet the Defenders." She had to go back to Amis-Yan too. Her aunt would not be worried, but the monks would be frantic. Honestly, it was like she couldn't defend herself. She tugged Adam's arm to indicate her dilemma.

Xadria grinned, a little bit proud of Adam's willingness to defend, and a little disgusted by the fact that it was for May.
"I could be quite worth it. Do not think you two are the only rouge defenders." She said, almost teasingly, with a slight wink.

May's mouth tightened into a line whilst Adam laughed. "Me? A Defender? Right!" He grinned that charming, roughish grin at Xadria. May sighed. "Can we hurry up? Illiana ringing any bells?" "Several." Adam tore his eyes away from Xadria and smiled at Mayriah. "Come, oh impatient one."

Xadria grinned at Adam's laugh - she liked his laugh, it was so carefree, casual, the kind of laugh one should hear everyday.
The final words he spoke caused a slight frown to crease her brow, but it disappeared at her will, and she prayed it gone when she made a snap decision; she said not one word, but fell into step with them. Illiana rang bells to everyone, and she would bloody well tell them that if they questioned her. It was not just an impatient one, but impatient ones.

May stopped without turning around and said in a voice that commanded respect, said "Well...I can see that someone wishes to be a little infestation, always hoarding in when they are not wanted." "May." Adam said sharply, rushing to Xadria's defence. "She just wants the truth." May turned, on her face for a split second the emotion of anguish. "But...Brakkus..." "I trust her. And you do to." She looked, then sighed, and this showed she knew. It was time to talk.

Xadria looked quite satisfied now, satisfied with now having dragged Adam onto her team, atleast, temporarily.
"An infestation, I may be, but not indifferent to you."
I trust her. Pfft. Screw whatever the rest of his statement was, he trusted her. Trusted her. Warm fuzzies, anyone? A pinkish color flushed her cheeks.
"And, whenever the truth comes out, I'm here listening."

May's eyes were the most expressive of her face. On good days they gleamed with mischief and happiness. On bad they smouldered with anger, or sometimes pain. Mostly, however, they were hidden, like from behind a curtain. Only Adam and Alnar had seen her beyond that shield. And Brakkus, when she had nothing left to use. In a voice devoid of feeling, she said "Illiana...Head Priestess of RaDos...is my aunt. I am the heir to her throne." Ogama. She sounded so melodramatic.

Xadria blinked for a moment, a bit stunned, but otherwise alert and attentive, "Dramatic." She said finally.
"Good Lord, you really have got a lot going for you. That secret is hardly something I could match, no matter how great my efforts. Should I be bowing?"

For the first time May's face cracked in a small smile. "I'm not done." She paused. "I am..." Here she winced. "I am...an Ogama Wizard. The last of the Ogama Wizards." "And..." Another pause. "And Brakkus's sister."

Xadria opened her mouth stupidly for a moment, stunned beyond all imagining.
"Oh." She just sort of stared for a moment. There was a split second when her thoughts passed over to attacking Mayriah, but if Adam was with her, there could be no harm - could there? No. He had been the good guy, erm, well, no. But he was the good guy to her.
"Okay, I can no longer deny that you have too much weight on your shoulders to bear alone." Whatever that could be taken as, a peace offering or a mere comment, it was spoken clearly and without doubt.

May's face, which had been shining with shame yet still hidden, broke into a humerous laugh. "I wish that was all of." Adam looked at her and nodded, as if to say 'I think she understands.' May paused. "My apologies, but I think I'm done. You don't need the rest." Like how I was his slave. Like my first Di-Gata Battle was when I was 4. Like I'm marked for Death. Like...wait...does she still think I'm Adam's girlfriend? MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

Xadria gave a sort of half-smile, as though she was unsure of how to react to this.
"Is it that I do not want it, or I do not need it?" She couldn't stop herself from questioning, "I take it your boyfriend knows everything, and perhaps I could make him tell me, if you will not." There was no mistaking the painstakingly clear envy in her tone.

May and Adam looked at each other, then proceeded to start jumpink around and projectile vomit like they were 3 years old. Adam finished and started to laugh. "Me? And May? As if. NO WAY." "TRIPLE NO WAY." May interjected, shivering at the thought. Adam had a serious look on his face now. "If I was her boyfriend, would I do this?" And with that he took Xadria in his arms and kissed her.
{{PERCE! Ees very bad. Please don't hate me forever...*beg*}}

[Hate you? Why would I hate you? sorry to break it to you, hun, but you just made my day. ^^]
At their previous display, Xadria couldn't help but to insert "Mature" with as much sarcasm as could be mustered in her rather relieved state. Adam's next words, however, startled her, and she wore a curious expression indicating: Sorry? What?
And then her brain turned to mush. Useless, stupid droplets of goo. Her cheeks flushed with color in embarassment and surprise, but there was no way she was complaining.

((YAY! )) May chuckled softly to herself. About time. From the day he had met her, Adam had spoken of her everyday at least once. May inwardly kicked herself for not remembering earlier. "Alright, alright." May said after 15 minutes, interrupting their little tete-a-tete. "One of you has to come for air sometime...and frankly, I don't care of you kick the bucket Adam, but I'm sure Xadria will give me a hard time." She smiled at her, her first real, kind smile.

[15 minutes? *rolls on floor laughing*]
Xadria pulled away from Adam, her cheeks flushed with color, embarassed. Mayriah's smile didn't help much, only increased the flurry of red in her skin, and she could hardly bring herself to look Adam in the eye - or face, for that matter. Infact, she hardly looked anywhere, ground aside, when she spoke.
"Er. The Defenders. Sorry. Right."

May giggled, then motioned to Adam to leave for a minute. He obeyed, a goofy grin on his face. "You don't have to worry about me and Adam." She addressed Xadria. "We're...like family. Too close for that. And to be honest...I like someone else." Wizards and Sigils, had she really just admitted that?! Someone call Ogama-YIN-YIN!

Xadria looked very pleased about this, cheeks still burning, but she now looked a little bit relieved, as if she was still unconvinced previously.
"Do you really?" She grinned slyly, "Who would that be?" There was hardly any need for secrets anymore, she knew the big ones.
